Confucius Institute
On May 16, 2008 the Confucius Institute Headquarters and V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University signed an agreement on creating a Confucius Institute. On December 16, 2008 the Confucius Institute was officially opened. In April 2009 the Confucius Institute began its work. Its founder from the Chinese part was Anhui University.
The mission of the Confucius Institute is to promote understanding of China and its culture in the world, develop friendly relations between China and other countries, Ukraine in particular. Education at Confucius Institutes will be focused on the peculiarities of cooperation with China. Besides the tasks of the Institutes are:
• to organize courses for the Chinese language and Chinese culture;
• to hold scientific conferences devoted to China;
• to popularize the Chinese language and Chinese culture through various contests and events;
• to carry out qualification tests in the Chinese language (HSK);
• to prepare and publish educational literature on the Chinese language;
• students’ and academics’ in-depth training in China, consultations on studying in China.
Ukrainian-Indian Academic Center
Ukrainian-Indian Academic Center was established in V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University in 2011.
The main tasks of the Center are:
• establishment and development of fruitful academic relations of Karazin University and other Kharkiv universities with scientific educational, business and cultural institutions in India;
• initiation and support of joint projects in education, academic exchanges and culture;
• the encouragement of promotional and informational exhibits of educational services of Karazin University and Kharkiv universities in India. Organization and opening together with Karazin University and partner organization «Bob Trade» missions abroad with the aim of informational, advisory and marketing activities;
• popularization of Indian culture in Ukraine;
• organization of cultural and sports events.
Ukrainian-Arab Academic Center
Ukrainian-Arab Academic Center was founded for the purpose of strengthening the cooperation between Arab countries and Ukraine in the area of science and education, as well as for supporting and spreading the Arab language to improve mutual understanding between Arab nations and Ukraine. The main objectives of the center are achieved through a deeper studying of international relations with the help of implementation of various academic programs.
Ukrainian-African academic center
Ukrainian-African academic center of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University was created with the following goals:
• Establishment and development of fruitful academic relations of the University and other higher educational institutions of Kharkov with the scientific and educational, business and cultural institutions in Africa;
• Commencement and support of joint projects in the field of education, academic exchange and culture;
• Assistance in mutual promotion of practice-oriented projects in various fields of science, social economic and cultural development;
• Improvement of quality and effectiveness in the area of international cooperation;
• Assistance in organizing and conducting of promotional and informational exhibitions of educational services of the University and other higher educational institutions of Kharkiv in African countries;
• Organization and incorporation of the foreign offices on the periodic or permanent basis together with the University for the purpose of informational, advisory and headhunting activities.
• Organization and conducting of cultural and sporting events.
